The one who creates a case or a template in Assently owns that case or template. When activating the function Web Automation, you can see who owns the template and therefore is the Issuer of all cases created from the template. You can easily change the issuer to another agent.
The following three scenarios are where the Issuer will be present:
- Cases created from a template with Web Automation gets the issuer as owner. This means that notifications, if enabled, related to the cases will go to the issuer.
- If a party has entered an email address, and the setting that parties gets a copy of the signed form and a welcoming message. The issuer is the sender of these emails.
- The person who visits the link on your website can in the signing step, choose not to sign (perhaps a question comes up or they change their mind). When they click "I cannot sign" they can either cancel the signing or ask a question about the case. This question will be sent to the issuer of the case, giving them the opportunity to respond to the question.
We recommend that you choose a generic and common email is used as an Issuer, for example;
