Once a case has been e-signed by all of the parties the case is finished, and the documents are combined with a certificate where the e-signatures are located. These form a digital original in the PDF file format. Exact copies of this file is in all practical senses an original, since they don't differ in any respect from the original with regards to content, file size, checksums, etc.
The signed file is locked and it can be verified that this file has not been altered or falsified by using a web tool that Assently provides – or by doing mathematical calculation on the file.
If you have further questions about the term original in digital environments you are welcome to contact us.
