All signed documents have two attachments: the The Case Audit Log and a zip file containing original data.
You can view these attachments by opening the signed document in a PDF Reader that support attachments, like Adobe Acrobat Reader.
The Case Audit Log is found in the file attachment named caseauditlog.pdf
. It contains information about who sent the case and how the case was signed.
The zip file containing the original data, is named caseaudit.zip
, and holds the original documents and the signature data. The signature data depends on the signature method used. The contents of the zip file can be used for verifying the signatures.
Extracting the caseaudit.zip file
To extract the caseaudit.zip file you need to use a tool or online service that supports extracting zip files from the pdf. For example Foxit PDF Reader or the Firefox browser.
Note that the default setting in Acrobat Reader does not allow opening or saving .zip files from pdfs.
The zip file contains the original document(s) and a folder "signatures".
The "signatures" folder has a folder for each signing party, and in each signing party folder there is a signatures.json file that contains information about the signature.
If the case was signed using an eid the "Signature" field in the signatures.json file contains information from the eid provider. You can, for example, find the party's Swedish BankID certificate if that eid was used.
The Signature field data is base64 encoded. To make it readable, you can use some tool or an online service, for example https://www.base64decode.org/
